FIrst Baptist Church of Taos was founded in 1934 as a small band of believers wanting to reach the Taos area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  70 + years later, our passion has not changed.

Located in the heart of historic Taos, we're easy to find!

Our Vision

Our vision is to be "God’s People on Mission in Christ’s Power" with the goal of honoring God through authentic Christian lives that are Christ Centered,   Community Oriented,   and  Culturally Engaged,  as we follow His lead in the task of helping to expand His Kingdom.

The ministry of FBC, Taos focuses on investing our lives and resources in efforts that build true Christian community through vital relationships that can be outlined as:  Reaching, Teaching, Training, Serving and Sending.

What to expect

When you attend our Sunday morning service, you'll find friendly faces and a group of people who truly love the Lord!

The worship services typically begin with songs of praise that mix contemporary worship songs along with traditional hymns that have glorified God throughout the years.

There is a time of intercessory prayer. It's a time to bring your needs and the needs of others to God. Feel free to come to the altar or pray where you are.

We then have a message from God's word and a time of decision. There is always an opportunity to give your life to Christ or just find out more about what a life with Jesus really means.

Accessibility

Our main sanctuary is at ground level and accessible to wheelchairs. Please contact us if you have any special needs.
We have a van available to provide local transportation to and from services for those who need this service.
